Six-year-old Batul used to live with her mother in a house at a short distance from the village, her father used to work for some Seth Sahib, so he often left her in the city and came home once or twice a month. There was no pharmacy in their village and people faced great difficulties in going to the city for treatment, so Batul’s mother wanted her daughter to grow up to get a good education and become a doctor. In addition to her husband’s earnings, she herself also worked hard and one day a week brought wood from the forest outside the village and sold it in the village market to collect some money; So that they can come in handy when needed.

As usual, Batul’s mother got up early in the morning and woke up Batul to get ready for school, while Batul got ready and went out with her school bag, while her mother went to the forest to cut wood. I don’t know what happened that day that Batul’s mother went a little further to cut wood. When Batul returned home from school, she saw that Ami was not at home, she understood that Ami had gone to the forest and went to the kitchen and slept after eating some food.

It wasn’t long after he slept that he felt that a thief had entered the house, he opened his eyes a little while lying on the bed and saw a tall man trying to open his mother’s wardrobe. Is. On the one hand, he was so afraid that his voice could not come out and on the other hand, he was afraid that the thief would steal the money that his mother had collected so hard.

For a few minutes she was lying like that and the thief kept trying. The thief was so engrossed in opening the cupboard that he did not realize that Batul was watching all his movements, then suddenly Batul remembered that the kitchen The window is open, so Batul dared to get up from the bed and ran towards the kitchen, seeing her, the thief retreated in fear, then he ran after him to catch Batul, in his haste, his foot hit something and He fell to the ground with a thud, as he got up and ran towards the kitchen, by then Batul had reached the kitchen window. Batul quickly jumped out of the window, the thief also followed her towards the window and without thinking to jump out like Batul, the thief took both his hands out of the window and went out. started sliding towards, but the window was small and the thief was tall and wide so that he was stuck in the middle, he could neither go back nor move forward.

When Batul saw this, an idea immediately came to her mind, she quickly turned around and came to the door of the house and locked the door from outside and ran to the village and told the people. Everyone rushes to his house, only to find the thief still trapped in the window. People dragged him out and beat him badly. In the meantime, the police officer of the village also reached and caught the thief and took him to the police station.

When Batul’s mother reached the village, she was shocked to see so many people and the police outside her house. Walking fast, she reached home and saw that everyone was appreciating Batul’s intelligence and courage and giving him a reward. , they had no idea what was going on.

When Thanedar Sahib told him the whole story, he was amazed at what feat Batul had accomplished. At the same time, he called Batul’s Abu and narrated the whole incident, Batul’s Abu was also very happy and left to come home at the same time, that too with a great gift and lots of sweets for Batul.
